A Research Leader in Mixed-Signal Integrated Circuit Design

We select and evaluate CDADIC research projects through the following process.
  •
  • CDADIC surveys industry needs and faculty researchers' interests. IAB and faculty work together at the winter meeting to identify research topics sponsor companies would like pre-proposals to address.
  •
  • Faculty researchers prepare pre-proposals for screening by Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) representatives and/or technical personnel.
  •
  • Researchers prepare an executive summary and full proposal for presentation to IAB members at the annual summer meeting.
  •
  • IAB members vote on projects among which to distribute their collective annual membership fees.
  •
  • Researchers carry out the selected research projects at member universities.
  •
  • Results are shared with all member companies, who provide technical mentoring and interact with researchers throughout the year.
  •
  • Researchers present progress reports at the annual winter meeting of the Industrial Advisory Board.

CDADIC's administrative team regularly surveys member companies for evaluation of the center's focus, identification of new problems, and proposed changes in research directions to meet changing needs in the electronics industry.
